See You Monday!

Happy Fall everyone!  Did you miss me?  I missed you.  I’m sorry that I’ve been gone so long.  I’ve been doing some soul searching and by soul searching I mean ripping myself from the grips of the retail world and searching for a bonafide big girl job.  I’m whipping up some posts for Monday that I hope you’ll love but, in the mean time, here are some gems I found that made me think of you.  Happy clicking!

Let’s be honest, the best thing about cold weather is all the great layering you get to do.  The folks at The 3rd Piece have all the finishing touches for your chilly look.  I’m really loving this scarf and I’m all about this hat.

I have an itch to throw a low-key dinner party.  I have a feeling this salad and appetizer would be on my menu.

I’ve been listening to the silly yet soothing podcast ‘Sleep With Me’ to lull me to sleep on restless nights.  I would try to explain it but I think you better just give it a listen. Sweet dreams…

My mother recently gave me this productivity journal and I can’t tell you the wonders its done for my time management and focus …. okay, and my productivity.  Mother knows best.

Speaking of productivity, Erin Condren has released her new drops for 2017.  While she’s known for her Life Planners™, she’s got everything imaginable to keep you organized in colorful style.

I just recently finished this incredible book by Susan Rebecca Whit.  It’s a deep, heartfelt story that you won’t want to end.

Next time you’re at a cocktail party and feeling a little under cultured, bring up the Hugo Boss Prize. Read up here and impress all your ultra artsy friends.

If you find yourself actually being interested in the Hugo Boss Prize, check out this wildly interesting book.  Interested but not that interested?  Here’s the book’s review.

Ever wished there was a blog devoted entirely to pretty pajamas and unmentionables totally worth mentioning?  Good news: I found one.  Here it is!

The wonderful Rifle Paper Company has come out with a new fabric line!  Any one of the prints would be perfect for bringing old chairs and sofas back to life or even curtains.

I’m a true crime nut.  Call me strange, call me creepy but I’m a sucker for a great who dunnit.  Which leads me to this pressing question: Have you watched all the Jon Benet Ramsey specials??  I listen to Georgia Hardstark and Karen Kilgariff’s wicked weekly podcast My Favorite Murder religiously.    Hardstark just wrote a two-part article on the specials and a bonus article on the new Netflix documentary, Amanda Knox.  Here they are.

Happy weekending and I’ll meet ya back here Monday.

Have a Happy Weekend

Friday at long last!  What are you all up to this weekend?  I’m hoping to finish up my spring cleaning and organizing.  I’m itching to throw a spring-time cocktail party.  The sun is shining brighter and longer and I think there’s no better way to welcome the warmth than with food you can eat with your fingers, a couple great cocktails and a bunch of great friends.  While I day dream about the smell of spring and the sound of clinking coupes, why don’t you take a gander at some fun things I found around the web this week?

How great does this interesting salad sound?  I can’t wait to try it.

Speaking of tiny apartments, this article is super helpful too.

A couple years ago, my friend Kayla introduced me to the life-changing brand Erin Condren.  Her coveted customizable LifePlanners ™ will change your life.  Luck for you, the planners are 50% off!  Hurry because I have no idea how long that discount will last.

There are few things in life I love more than taking a bubble bath at the end of the day.  Here are 11 ways to create the perfect bath.

The ideal bar cart.

I’ll be a Parks and Rec fan until my dying breath and the fact that I got Ann Perkins on this quiz warms my heart.

Target and Marimekko did a thing together!

I’ve been thinking about getting a little radio.  What do you think about this one?

The perfect accessory for your weekend getaway.

Ohhhh so that’s how you do a crown braid.

This art exhibit  is equal parts genius and hilarious.  Want more?  Here’s another exhibit by the same people.

Chip and Joanna Gaines from HGTV’s Fixer Upper and The Magnolia Market have finally come out with their own line of absolutely gorgeous paint.

Hope you enjoyed these as much as I did.  See you Monday my lovely readers!

Have a LOVE-ly Weekend

Happy (almost) weekend everyone!  It’s supposed to get pretty chilly around here so I plan to cozy up on my couch with large cups of coffee and persevere in the ever-daunting job search.  To all you employed folks out there, what were some helpful things you learned while you were on the hunt?  Any sage advice for me?  Here are some gems from the internet that I found this week.

These photos of Misty Copeland replicating Degas’ masterpieces are absolutely incredible.

Are you as completely and totally obsessed with the Netflix Original Series Making a Murderer as I am?  Part of me hopes that, for your sake, you aren’t BUT if you are here is just a handful of the totally hilarious parodies and memes the show has inspired.  (Which one is your favorite?)

I’m such a ‘UGE fan of Bad Lip Reading.  Here is one for the first Democratic debate and here is one for the first Republican debate.  I will truly never tire of these.

I wish I had seen this post earlier!  Next year I’m totally throwing a Galentine’s Day party even Leslie Knope would be impressed by.

Finally, a product that brings an end to the “I dunno, what do you want to do” conversation between you and your significant other.

This short little article and diagram on the effective weekend habits of successful people was really interesting.

So, this is one of the craziest/ coolest/ strangest/ sweetest things I’ve ever seen.

I’ve posted articles from The New York Times’ column, Modern Love before and I’m so excited to tell you that they now have a podcast!  Take a listen here.

Are you going to show yourself some love and get yourself a little V-Day something?  I’m thinking of getting myself this or these.  Which do you think?

Have you seen the the new OK Go music video?  It’s kind of totally mind blowing.  (If you haven’t already seen it, here is another super cool video of theirs from a while back 2006.)

I hope you enjoy all of these.  Leave me some comments and let me know what you think.  No really, you should.  We can chat and be friends, it’ll be so great.  Have a happy weekend and, no matter how you spend it and who you spend it with, be good to yourself and to everyone else.  See you Monday!

Better Late Than Never… Right?

Happy Friday

Happy Friday

Sorry I’m a little behind, I promise I didn’t forget about you!  How was everyone’s week?  Apartment hunting was beyond successful.  I managed to find a perfect little apartment on a perfect little street and  couldn’t be more pleased.  It’s about half the size of the apartment I’m in now so it’s going to require some major de-cluttering on my part.  Any of you have any suggestions for down sizing and reorganizing?  Anyways, here are some sharables to get your weekend started on the right foot.

Write a number one pop song, remember us when you’re famous?

Because Rembrandt

I picked this lip exfoliating set up at Sephora earlier this week and I’m kind of loving it.

I’m headed to go see this movie with my good friend Erin tonight.

Having a hard time deciding on a Halloween costume?  Want to confirm your costume’s originality? This new site from Google can help you out.

Did any of you read this article in The New York Times this past Sunday?  It’s sort of heartbreaking but also really lovely.  I can’t urge you enough to read it.

How do you plan to spend your 48-hours of freedom?
